For an electric stove won’t ignite, check if the stove power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light on gas models. If the oven is plugged in or if the pilot light is on, then some other part will have to be fixed. The cause of the issue could be an infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or broil and bake element.
A burner or stove or oven that does not heat doesn’t do much good. Your oven won’t heat when there is a broken bake element or oven sensor. A burner won’t ignite when an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We can troubleshoot and repair these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after we arrive.
You can assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer settings are not working. If that’s the case, we know how to fix control boards on LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and several other brands and models of ovens, ranges and stoves. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and the replacement parts we need for this oven repair service.
You need a hot oven. But not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to a broken thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen are able to diagnose the cause of the issue and then fix it. Just be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the high and unpredictable heat source.
A reoccurring stove problem is that an igniter will glow but it won’t light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We will determine if we can fix these parts or if we have to replace the parts.
New self-cleaning ovens sometimes have door issues often. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to identify why the door doesn’t open and then complete the necessary repair in order to correct the issue.
